This post is for those Lapis Oil lovers out there! The Lapis Balancing Facial Oil is a cult favorite for those looking to balance their redness and blemishes. While this product is loved by many there is a pretty big downside, the price tag. Lapis retails for a whopping $72 dollars. I don’t know about you but I can’t shell out that kind of money on a regular basis. I have tried out Lapis and really loved it! I think it helped to clear my skin and got rid of those pesky little bumps on my skin. I faced a problem when I ran out. To buy or not to buy? I am currently working two unpaid internships this summer, needless to say, funds are low.
I did not repurchase lapis and I slowly started noticing my skin becoming worse and worse again. I was upset and figured I would just have to shell out $72 and suck it up. Then, my friend told me about Acure. The brand Acure has a dupe for the Lapis Oil. They recently reformulated their Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil. Apparently the old formula had the exact same ingredients as Lapis. The new formula is still extremely similar, however, it does contain more coconut oil. This worried me as I know coconut oil can clog pores, however, I have never had an issue before. I have been trying out the Acure Seriously Soothing Oil and I have to say I really like it! I think it definitely has an oilier texture than Lapis does but I am seeing very similar results! I would be careful if you know coconut oil breaks you out. So far I have not experienced any breakouts and I have seen an overall improvement in the texture of my skin! I will post the packaging and ingredients below if you are curious! Hopefully this post has been helpful! I purchased the Acure oil for around $12 dollars I believe. It can be found at Whole Foods and places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls for even cheaper!
