Hi! I decided to start a new series here on my blog where I will be sharing my weekly workouts and some of the food I eat for the past week! I have been weight lifting and working out consistently for about a year and a half now (I used to dance before I started) and I want to share some of my tips! I have been trying to do a tiny lil cut before summer comes because I have been bulking to try to gain some muscle (specifically in the lower body/booty area). So here is my first week! Hope you like it! 🙂
Monday
Workout: I decided to do a leg/lower body day today. Some of the exercises I did were hip thrusts with a 55 lb dumbbell, squats with two 25 lb dumbbells, curtsy lunges with a 30 lb dumbbell, and cable kickbacks set to 45 lbs. After I finished my lower body exercises I did a quick 10 minute ab workout and stretched!
Food: For breakfast today I had two eggs over easy with a piece of toast and some fruit salad! For dinner tonight my roommate and I made vegan zucchini and corn fritters with a jalapeño cream sauce.
Tuesday
Workout: For my workout today I wanted to focus more on cardio/hiit. I ran(very slowly) a mile to warmup and get my body moving. I decided to do the hiit workout from the Nike Training Club app (it’s free!!) titled Ferocious 15. Afterwards I just did a couple simple arm and ab exercises before I stretched.
Food: For breakfast today I had a bagel with vegan “lox” cream cheese. For lunch I had some cous cous salad with a fruit salad. For dinner I had a curried satay veggie bowl and some chocolate chia seed pudding for dessert!
Wednesday
Workout: I did some yoga from the Nike Training Club app today! It was called Full Body Strength Yoga, I really enjoyed it!
Food: For breakfast I had two scrambled eggs with vegan cheese, two pieces of bread with vegan butter, and an orange. For dinner I had a lot of leftovers from previous days! Vegan mac and cheese and zucchini/corn fritters.
Thursday
Workout: 45 minute spin class.
Food: I ate a lot of left overs today. I ate a mixture of Cous Cous Salad, zucchini corn fitters, and vegan Mac n’ Cheese.
Friday
Workout: I had a rest day today!
Food: I ate an impossible burger for dinner with tomato, lettuce, and honey mustard.
